As we predicted before, it will happen before xmass. Blizzard employee and Community Manager Jonathan Brown (alias: Zarhym) says that the next Arena season for WoW will start one week before the official launch of the expansion pack.

Arena Season 9 is scheduled for Dec. 14 so Cataclysm should be launched around the predicted date of Dec. 7
